TheraPets Basic Obedience & Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Classes
TheraPets offers Basic Obedience and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) instruction with Adam Miller, owner of Big Dog Canine Behavioral Training. Classes meet Friday evenings at Windsor Hills United Methodist Church (3591 Windsor Road, Roanoke). Specific dates are also on our Facebook page. CLASS DETAILS: Basic Obedience - To teach how to train your dog using positive training techniques and to educate dog owners about the basics of owning and interacting with their canine companion. No dogs should attend the first Basic Obedience class. CGC Preparation - Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training is a program by the American Kennel Club that teaches dogs good manners and responsible ownership through a series of ten skills. The CGC test occurs on the last class of the session. Dogs should attend the first CGC class. Basic and CGC Classes: August 7, 2026-September 25, 2026 (Introduction Session is August 7th at 6:00 PM - NO DOGS attend the introduction session) Classes (with dogs) start August 14th and run until September 25th. CGC Test is October 2nd No Class on Labor Day Weekend (Friday, September 4th) REGISTRATION & FEES: $110 per class Payments by Credit Card: Use this Link | Credit card link can be accepted anytime before August 7th Payments by Check, Credit Card, and Cash must be paid by August 7th for both classes. Classes are limited to ten dogs per class with up to two human handlers per dog (no children, please). Your space is confirmed only after we receive both your registration form and payment. You may pay at the first class but no later. No registrations or payments will be accepted after the first class. Payment methods accepted: Credit cards, checks, and cash.
